San Beda goes streaking ahead of rivalry game with Letran
Quiet in the first three games of the NCAA 93 Men’s Basketball Tournament, both Jomari Presbitero and Davon Potts busted out at last for San Beda College.
Presbitero poured in a career-best 16 points while Potts fired all but three of his nine points in the decisive third quarter run that eventually ended as an 81-69 win for the Red Lions against Emilio Aguinaldo College on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
With all the attention on Robert Bolick and Javee Mocon, Potts and Presbitero proved that the defending champions remain as deep and as balanced as ever.
“Yun ang maganda sa team namin. We’re not selfish and we don’t think about our individual performance,” team captain Presbitero expressed post-game.
Nonetheless, Bolick had 10 points, nine rebounds, and five assists while Mocon posted 10 markers and four boards as San Beda scored back-to-back wins and its third win overall in four games.
It took until the third quarter, though, for the Red Lions to break this one wide open.
