Roach: Horn rematch will be Manny’s last
MANILA, Philippines - Freddie Roach is giving Manny Pacquiao one more fight – the chance to avenge his loss to Jeff Horn.
After that, it’s over for the Filipino icon.
In a report by boxingscene.com, Roach said he does not see Pacquiao fighting beyond a rematch with Horn, who shocked the world with a decision win over his prized ward more than two weeks ago in Brisbane, Australia.
Pacquiao has a rematch clause against Horn and will likely exercise it.
“I’ll accept (the scenario of) Manny fighting Horn once more because he wants the fight, but the end is near,” said Roach.
The bespectacled trainer previously said that now would be the perfect time for Pacquiao to call it quits, but understands that the fighting senator wants to go out on a high note.
