Jeron's triple-double fuels Flying V past Zark's

MANILA, Philippines – Jeron Teng registered his second triple-double of the conference to power Flying V to a 97-59 demolition of Zark's Burger in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Already secured of the top spot in the eliminations as well as an outright semifinals berth, the Thunder still showed no mercy against the also-ran Jawbreakers.

Teng was superb in the blowout, tallying 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. He became only the second player in D-League history to have two triple-doubles in one conference, matching the feat of Phoenix's Mike Tolomia in the 2016 Aspirants' Cup.

"I have to give credit to my teammates," said the 23-year-old swingman. "Kahit anong ganda ng pasa ko, kung hindi naman nila mashu-shoot, imposible na makapag triple-double ako."

"But I think we're a talented team, and anyone can score in our team," Teng added. "Anyone can have a breakout game and is capable of scoring."

Thomas Torres had 14 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while Oda Tampus had 14 points, four assists, and two rebounds in the victory.
