Return to coaching a blessing for Frankie Lim
For new Perpetual coach Frankie Lim, his appointment at the helm for the Altas couldn’t have come at a better time.
Out of the coaching circuit for the better part of the last three years, the 57-year-old mentor said that he has been feeling the itch to coach for a while before the Altas came calling.
“Of course, I miss coaching. Maybe, this also comes as a blessing. Everything went to its proper place and I am becoming a head coach again,” he said.
Lim last called the shots for Ginebra in the PBA back in 2015 after a largely successful run in San Beda from 2007 to 2011, netting four NCAA titles along the way.
He was initially appointed as a team consultant last December, but was promoted as the team’s head coach after Nosa Omorogbe had to come home to Nigeria to attend to some family matters.
