Maxie Esho Replaces Travele Jones For Saigon Heat

The Saigon Heat are making a change in their frontcourt, as new World Import Maxie Esho mans the middle for the Saigon Heat.

The 6’9″ Esho replaces erstwhile World Import Travele Jones, who averaged 19 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 3 games with the Heat.

Born on February 28 1991, the 25-year old Esho hails from Massachusetts in the United States. He has experience playing in the G-League, most recently with the Westchester Knicks. He averaged 5.9 points on 44% shooting from the field, to go along with 3.5 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per contest.

Esho flanks Akeem Scott as the World Imports of the Heat. He is the second new import of Saigon, as he joins new Heritage Import, Filipino-American Michael Williams. The Heat have a 1-2 record, with their first win coming against Mono Vampire Basketball Club on December 17, a 110-94 in the CIS Arena.

The Heat’s next game is on the road on January 6, as they take on the Formosa Dreamers in their first game of 2018.
