Heather Hardy, Ana Julaton to fight in boxing and MMA bouts

Professional boxers and mixed martial artists Heather Hardy and Ana Julaton will square off twice in 2018, apparently in both sports.

Bellator MMA announced on Tuesday the two will meet in a flyweight MMA fight at Bellator 194 on Feb. 16 inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

That bout will be the first of two meetings this year. The second will take place in a boxing ring, under the promotion of DiBella Entertainment and Orion Sports Management.

Both women began their careers in boxing before transitioning to MMA.

Hardy, of Brooklyn, is 20-0 in boxing and has won the WBC International featherweight and super bantamweight titles. She is 1-1 in MMA.

Julaton, of San Francisco, holds a professional boxing record of 14-4. She held the WBO World super bantamweight title. She has a 2-3 mark in the cage.

The two women fought different opponents on the same Bellator card in October and both lost. Bellator officials opted to move forward with the matchup, despite the respective setbacks.
