GlobalPort blasts misfiring Blackwater to win 2nd straight
Sean Anthony scored 12 of his 22 points in the first quarter and GlobalPort got rolling in the second, as the Batang Pier routed Blackwater 101-76 in the PBA Philippine Cup at Cuneta Astrodome on Friday.
GlobalPort, now at an even 2-2 in the standings, outscored Blackwater 33-14 in second and cruised to the wire-to-wire win.
Anthony shot 6-of-10 3-pointers, as GlobalPort sank a total of 13 of 29 from behind the arc for 44%.
Stanley Pringle added 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Kelly Nabong contributed 16 points for the Batang Pier, which won consecutively after starting 0-2.
All 12 players fielded by GlobalPort coach Pido Jarencio scored at least 1 basket.
Mac Belo finished with 17 points to lead Blackwater, which fell to 2-3.
