UE's Pasaol eyes continued improvement after breakout year

MANILA, Philippines – After becoming the breakout star of UAAP Season 80, University of the East (UE) forward Alvin Pasaol is looking to improve even further.

In his second season with the Red Warriors, Pasaol established himself as the best local scorer in the UAAP. He had always been able to put points on the board, but he took it to a different level in Season 80, averaging 20.6 points per game – best among local players.

The highlight of his campaign, of course, was his 49-point explosion in a loss to defending champion De La Salle University in the first round. Scoring from all areas, Pasaol etched his name into the UAAP record books as the first player to breach the 40-point mark since 2002.
