Perpetual Help to compete in PBA D-League
MANILA, Philippines – The University of Perpetual Help Altas are set to compete in the PBA D-League, in the hopes of gaining more experience ahead of next year's NCAA men's basketball tournament.
The Altas are still rebuilding following the departure of Nigerian star Bright Akhuetie earlier this year.
Without Akhuetie, who transferred to University of the Philippines, Perpetual Help managed to win only four games in the recently concluded NCAA Season 93 tournament. Their 4-14 was good for a share of eighth place along with De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB).
They missed the Final 4 after coming one game short of making the finals in Season 92.
Now, the Altas are taking steps necessary to get back into Final 4 form.
