UE's Pasaol is UAAP Player of the Week once more
MANILA, Philippines — For the second time in UAAP Season 80, University of the East standout (UE) Alvin Pasaol has emerged as the Player of the Week.
Establishing himself as the Red Warriors’ heart and soul, Pasaol has played a huge role in propelling his team to the Final 4 race.
He showed his grit in UE’s game against University of the Philippines (UP) on Sunday, when he battled through cramps down the stretch and hit clutch baskets to lift the Red Warriors to a 73-64 win.
Pasaol finished with 32 points in the win, helping cement his status as the UAAP Press Corps-Chooks To Go Player of the Week.
It’s his second time to earn the plum after he made a historic 49-point performance despite a sorry 100-106 loss to defending champion De La Salle University. He also delivered 32 markers in UE’s first win of the season — a 96-91 conquest over University of Santo Tomas two weeks ago.
