Kiefer quick to make his mark in Day 1 of PBA Draft Combine

MANILA, Philippines — With potential No. 1 pick Christian Standhardinger absent, it was Kiefer Ravena who stood out among the hopefuls in Day 1 of the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft Combine.

The former Ateneo de Manila University standout topped three of the five drills that served to take the potential draftees’ anthropometric measurements.

He topped the lane agility drill, finishing it in just 10.72 seconds.

Coming in second place in the lane agility drill was Arellano University’s Zach Nicholls (11.56 s), followd by University of the Philippines’ Jett Manuel (11.62 s), Adamson University’s Gian Abrigo (11.66 s), and Wangs Basketball’ Robbie Herndon (11.91 s).

The 23-year-old Ravena also registered the highest vertical leap, of 39.5 inches. Former De La Salle University guard Julian Sargent was a close second, with a maximum vertical leap of 39 inches.

Manuel came in third place at 38.5 inches, followed by Arellano’s Lervin Flores with a leap of 38 inches.
