Tolentino lifts Tamaraws to victory vs still winless Tigers
Arvin Tolentino took the ball and rest of Far Eastern University ran with it as they bounced back into the winners’ circle in the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Tolentino scored seven of his 15 points in the pivotal push bridging the third and fourth quarters that boosted the Tamaraws past University of Sto. Tomas, 78-65, on Saturday at the MOA Arena.
Tolentino was joined by four other teammates in the 18-0 blast that erased a three-point deficit late in the third and erected a 63-48 advantage in the middle of the fourth.
FEU would not look back from there all the way to their second win in four games.
Along with the bounce back win, the Morayta-based squad also piled onto the misery of their rivals from Espana who are yet to win in four tries.
