Rio silver medalist Diaz back in action

Rio de Janeiro Olympics silver medalist and weightlifting star Hidilyn Diaz returns to action in the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, which is slated to start Sept. 16.

“I’ve been preparing hard for this event and I can’t wait to compete again,” said Diaz, the designated flag-bearer of the delegation featuring 105 athletes from 17 sports.

“A gold medal would be perfect but I don’t want to promise anything. I’ll just do my best,” said Diaz.
