MANILA, Philippines – National University (NU) rebounded from a lackluster second set to take down San Sebastian College, 25-21, 21-25, 25-11, 25-18, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Collegiate Conference on Monday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Bulldogs pounced the smaller Lady Stags, who were playing without head coach Roger Gorayeb, for their second straight win in Group A to tie Far Eastern University at the top of the standings.

Aiko Urdas led the way for NU with 17 points on 14 attacks and two kill blocks, while Jaja Santiago added 11 points, 10 of which came on kills.

"I always appreciate a win," said new NU head coach Babes Castillo. "It was a win, and maganda ang result, but the way we did it, medyo hindi pa kami happy doon talaga."

"It goes to show na 'yung aming system needs more working on," he added.
