Roi Sumang's career game powers Blackwater past NLEX
Blackwater fought off NLEX's late rally to complete a 107-106 victory over one of the tournament leaders in the PBA Governors' Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
Roi Sumang scored a career-high 32 points on 12-of-20 field-goal shooting to go with 5 3-pointers.
Henry Walker added 29 points and 15 rebounds to help Blackwater hold off NLEX in the final minute, as the Elite raised its win-loss record to 2-3.
“Everything is on the next level. Their attitude, confidence, togetherness of the whole team. We hope to continue more,” said Blackwater coach Leo Isaac.
“Sumang, given the opportunity… showed he can play. I’m happy to see he got out of his shell and showcase the real talent that he has.”
