Lyceum guns for 7th straight win against EAC
MANILA, Philippines – Lyceum of the Philippines University tries to keep its winning streak going against Emilio Aguinaldo College when they collide in the NCAA Season 93 men's basketball tournament at EAC Gym in Manila on Thursday afternoon.
The Pirates roared to their sixth consecutive victory by outlasting the Perpetual Help Altas, 76-58, last Friday.
They will go for win No. 7 against the Generals in their 4 p.m. encounter, though the Pirates will be in hostile territory as they visit EAC for the "NCAA on Tour."
EAC turned heads after stunning last season's runner-up, Arellano University, 85-79, last Tuesday to jump to solo third place. At 3-2, the Generals are just behind defending champion San Beda (5-1).
EAC coach Ariel Sison is confident his team has a chance against the rampaging Pirates.
