Errani suspended for doping infraction
The International Tennis Federation has released a statement that former World No.5 and 2012 French Open finalist Sara Errani has committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation, and will thus serve a two month suspension that began on August 3.
“We do not tolerate doping in our sport and we will remain vigilant in the efforts to detect and control it," a WTA spokesperson said. "No Player is above the rules and we support the decisions reached by the Tennis Anti-Doping Program.
"Sara Errani has fully cooperated with the procedures of the program and will be allowed to return to play on October 3, 2017.”
