Cardona reveals reason for attempting suicide
MANILA, Philippines – Former PBA star Mac Cardona, known as "Captain Hook" inside the court, finally revealed why he attempted to take his own life back in August 2016.
Appearing on "Rated K" on Sunday night, Cardona revealed that long before his suicide attempt, his ex-girlfriend Bianca Jackes noticed that something was "really wrong" with him and urged him to visit a psychiatrist.
"Ginawa naman namin 'yun," Cardona said. "'Yun nga – na-diagnose ako na bipolar ako."
Cardona had a hard time adjusting to the drugs prescribed to him. "Nakaka-antok po kasi 'yung medicine na binibigay sa amin," he admitted. "Lazy ka lang, mahina ang katawan mo. Nanlalambot ka, ganoon."
Until one day, she left him.
