Star replaces import after just one game
MANILA, Philippines – The Star Hotshots are the second team to change imports in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup, replacing Cinmeon Bowers with Malcolm Hill after just one game.
Star coach Chito Victolero confirmed the development to ABS-CBN News via text.
Afterward, Victolero said he was mostly satisfied with how his import played, although it was clear that "CB" was still adjusting to his system.
One day later, however, Bowers is on his way out, to be replaced by Hill.
The 21-year-old Hill played for four seasons in Illinois, but went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. He averaged 13.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over the course of his collegiate career.
