Perlas vents ire on Myanmar

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Less than 24 hours after a painful loss to Indonesia, Perlas Pilipinas returned to action and promptly got back on track.

The Philippine women's basketball team easily dismantled Myanmar, 123-33, to improve to 2-1 in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games at the MABA Stadium here.

Clare Castro came off the bench for 21 points and 12 rebounds, while five other players scored in double-digits in the comfortable victory.

The Filipinas outscored the Burmese 33-8 in the first quarter and never let up.
