Pablo books PVL playoff ticket for Pocari Sweat
MANILA -- As always, needing a point to put away pesky Philippine Air Force on Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Centre, Pocari Sweat went to Myla Pablo.
And as always, the frontrunner for MVP did nothing but deliver.
Pablo hammered the final nail in the coffin of the Lady Jet Spikers and handed a straight sets win for the Lady Warriors, 25-19- 25-20, and 29-27.
Coming out on top in the duel between contenders, last conference’s champions have now assured themselves of a place in the next round of the 2017 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
After having no problems taking the first two sets, Pocari Sweat was finally challenged and Air Force was even at set point, 25-24.
The MVP frontrunner was having none of it, however, and scored three points to bring her team onto a tied tally at 27-all.
