Ancajas: Overhand left did the trick vs Kinoshita
Although it didn't seem like it, world junior bantamweight king Jerwin "Pretty Boy" Ancajas said he had a hard time beating Japan's Teiru Kinoshita before retaining his crown on Sunday.
Ancajas completed an impressive win in the main supporting bout of Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn clash in Brisbane by stopping his challenger in 7 rounds.
But fighting a rangy boxer wasn't easy, said Ancajas.
"Mahaba kasi ang kamay, hinaharangan niya 'yung jab ko," he told ABS-CBN News. "Alam niya na mahilig akong mag-jab, talagang pinag-aralan ako't pinahirapan."
The left-handed fighter from Panabo City is currently is one of the Philippines' more technical boxers.
Ancajas negated Kinoshita's longer reach by using an overhand left.
