Pacio, Kelly to see action at ONE: Kings and Conquerors
MANILA, Philippines – Philippine mixed martial arts (MMA) contenders Joshua Pacio and Eric Kelly will return to action on August 5 at the Cotai Arena in Macau for ONE: Kings & Conquerors.
The 21-year-old Pacio of Baguio City is a member of the famed Team Lakay gym and is considered one of the country's most talented strawweights. A wushu specialist with a solid grappling repertoire, Pacio has a 9-1 win-loss record.
All but one of his career victories have come by spectacular finish, including five wins by submission and three wins by knockout. A former ONE Strawweight World Championship title challenger, Pacio is looking to bring himself back to title contention with another victory.
A tough task is ahead of Pacio, however, as he is slated to lock horns with Hayato Suzuki.
The 30-year-old from Saitama, Japan has a 16-0-2 record and is known for his heavy hands and technical grappling skills. Eleven of his 16 fights have come via stoppage – six by submission, and five by knockout.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Kelly will take on Kotetsu Boku, a former ONE lightweight champion with over 30 professional bouts to his name.
