Konjuh conjures up a comeback win in Den Bosch

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, The Netherlands - Ana Konjuh came from a set down to reach the quarterfinals of the Ricoh Open on Thursday, prevailing 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 against Richel Hogenkamp.
The fifth seed struggled in the opening set, but Dutchwoman Hogenkamp was unable to maintain her momentum and Konjuh, who won the tournament in 2015, turned things around to secure victory in nine minutes shy of two hours.

Fifth seed Ana Konjuh beats Richel Hogenkamp in three sets to reach the last eight of the Ricoh Open.
She will take on Evgeniya Rodina for a semifinal place, after the Russian beat qualifier Antonia Lottner 7-5, 6-3 to continue her fine form, after dropping just two games in her opening round victory over Miyu Kato.

German Lottner, ranked 161 in the world, provided a major shock by defeating top seed Dominika Cibulkova in round one, but could not recapture that form.

Elsewhere, wildcard Arantxa Rus continued her impressive showing as she also reached the quarterfinals. The Dutchwoman, who surprised sixth seed Timea Babos in the opening round, overcame Czech qualifier Andrea Hlavackova 6-2, 7-5.

The world No.183 now faces the Russian, Natalia Vikhlyantseva, for a place in the last four.
