Alaska re-ups Henton for PBA Governors’ Cup
Looking to recapture its lost glory, Alaska is bringing back LaDontae Henton for the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup.
The 6-foot-5 forward is seeking a better campaign this time with the Aces after he averaged 31.9 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 blocks in last season’s quarterfinals finish.
The Aces, though, bowed to eventual champion Ginebra early in the playoffs.
The Providence product returned to the country on Tuesday and has already joined the team practices which started on Wednesday.
During his time away from the Philippines, Henton was signed up by NBA D-League squad Santa Cruz Warriors, where he netted an average of 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
The Aces are eyeing a better outing in the season-ending conference after an eight-game losing streak derailed their campaign the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup.
