Viloria mulls moving up to 115 lbs after flyweight title fight
Brian Viloria is smack in the middle of his training camp for his upcoming fight against Ukraine’s Artem Dalakian, but the Hawaiian Punch is already looking at bigger things ahead.
As per BoxingScene.com, the former flyweight champion will look to move to up to super flyweight after his fight against Dalakian for the vacant WBA World flyweight title.
Viloria’s fight against Dalakian (15-0) is in the Superfly 2 undercard that has the fight between WBC World super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (43-4-1) versus former world champion Juan Francisco Estrada (36-2) as the main event.
“There was little discussion of it [moving up in weight], I spoke to my manager Gary Gittlesohn about it but this opportunity at 112 opened up for me and it’s a chance to get to another world title,” said Viloria in the report.
“I’ll perhaps go up to 115 after this fight.”
