Ginebra places Joe Devance on unrestricted free agent list
Barangay Ginebra has placed Joe Devance on the unrestricted free agent list, with the power forward possibly missing the whole PBA Philippine Cup.
According to a story posted on PBA.ph, the Gin Kings management is expecting Jervy Cruz and Raymond Aguilar to back up Greg Slaughter and Japeth Aguilar while Devance undergoes rehab.
Ginebra coach Tim Cone earlier said Devance went under the knife to remove a bunion from his left foot that had him struggling in past conferences.
“So he might miss most if not all of the all-Filipino (conference),” Cone said.
To make up for Devance's absence, the Kings brought in free agents John Wilson and Jericho De Guzman. Art dela Cruz, who was injured yet again, was placed in the reserve list.
