Generika-Ayala re-signs Ramdin, Pilepic
MANILA, Philippines – Generika-Ayala is pinning its hopes on a pair of familiar faces when it competes in the brand-new edition of the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix.
Darlene Ramdin and Katarina Pilepic would return for another tour of duty as the Lifesavers try to move past the semifinals in the import-laced conference starting February 17.
Generika Drugstore vice president and COO Jay Ferrer said signing Ramdin and Pilepic to new deals was a no-brainer as both of them are hard working and very competitive.
Ramdin, in fact, was known to be a very good all-around player while Pilepic provided the offensive spark when the Lifesavers nearly pulled an earthshaking upset of powerhouse Petron in the quarterfinals of the previous Grand Prix.
“They are very hard working and competitive imports who have the right winning attitude and can help the team perform better,” said Ferrer, adding that they are not yet done with their recruiting spree as backline defenders Kathleen Arado and Bia General will be taking a leave as they suit up for their respective UAAP squads.
