FEU volleyball veteran Vargas to sit out first round
MANILA, Philippines – Rosemarie Vargas' return to the Far Eastern University (FEU) women's volleyball team will have to wait.
The team announced on social media Monday that the 25-year-old Vargas had suffered a muscle strain, and will miss the entire first round of the Season 80 tournament.
It is a big blow to the Lady Tamaraws, who were counting on Vargas to provide additional scoring punch and leadership to a team that has aspirations of making it to the finals this year.
Vargas was supposed to return to FEU after a five-year absence in the UAAP.
The FEU Lady Tamaraws will open their campaign on February 4 against Ateneo de Manila University.
