Jackson leads Gamboa Coffee to win over Batangas-EAC

MANILA, Philippines – Trevis Jackson fired 30 points to lift Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare College to a 104-81 victory over Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) on Monday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Fil-Am guard made 12 of his 17 attempts from the field, while also grabbing four rebounds as he helped the Coffee Lovers nail their first win of the conference.

Malian center Mohammed Pare contributed a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, John Ambuludto had 13 points and nine boards, and Aris Dionisio finished with nine points and 17 rebounds as Gamboa Coffee improved to 1-1 in the conference.

The win was much needed by Gamboa coach Jinino Manansala, who is bracing for a tough campaign in the Aspirants' Cup.

"Medyo mabigat 'yung mga school-based teams na pumasok, kaya sabi ko lang sa mga players, one game at a time. Makukuha din namin 'yan," said Manansala.
