2-week break an opportunity for hobbling Magnolia to heal

With a roster depleted by ailing bodies, Magnolia doesn't mind taking a holiday break lasting 16 days.

Coach Chito Victolero said the inactivity gives his players time to rest.

Magnolia last played on Christmas Day and won't be back until January 10.

"Talagang thankful kami dahil nakatulong iyong break para gumaling mula sa injuries nila mga players ko," Victolero said in an article posted on the PBA website.

Jio Jalalon, a top rookie last season, has yet to see action this campaign after having bone spurs removed. Rafi Reavis is also resting due to a hip injury.

"Once na cleared to play sila, then they can play in the game against KIA," said Victolero, whose team split its first two games — a win over Alaska and a loss to Barangay Ginebra.
