Pacquiao eyes ‘interesting fight’ for planned April return

Boxing promoter Bob Arum said former world champion Manny Pacquiao has finally contacted him regarding his return to the ring in the first quarter of 2018.

Through his adviser Michael Koncz, Pacquiao relayed to the Top Rank Inc. executive that he wants to fight again after losing the world welterweight title to Jeff Horn last July in Brisbane.

“We are going to find him a date in April,” Arum said in a report posted on in Boxing Scene.

While Arum has yet to set an exact fight date for the former 8-division world champion, he assured that the Filipino will take part in an intriguing match.

“Manny doesn’t want to fight in an undercard and he wants an interesting fight (when he returns),” he said.
