Phoenix's LA Revilla on controversial tweet: No regrets
MANILA, Philippines — LA Revilla has no regrets over posting his tweet that figured as a catalyst to his shipment to the Phoenix.
Practicing with the Fuelmasters for the third straight time, the diminutive guard added that the episode was “part of growing up.”
“I guess I just have to mature fast,” he told Philstar.com. "Anything I did in the past in my life naman... there were no regrets. It's just a matter of moving on.”
"Nakapagusap naman kami. We discussed the issue that I had,” Revilla said of his final interaction with Kia’s management. "It wasn’t pleasant for both parties. But I had to do what i had to do. I just have to move on. Lahat naman nagkakamali. For me if not now, then when ‘di ba?”
Revilla caught caught both flak and applause for cryptically sending out a tweet critical of the team’s handling of it’s first overall pick in the recently concluded draft. The pick could’ve been used to take Filipino-German slotman Christian Standhardinger or homegrown prospect Kiefer Ravena and make the cager a springboard for finally infusing a new basketball culture within the program.
