Lady Blazers coach Cariño leaves CSB for Perpetual Help
MANILA, Philippines – Macky Cariño, who led De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) to its first NCAA women's volleyball title in 2015, has left the Lady Blazers.
He now assumes the position of University of Perpetual Help's executive volleyball director, and head coach of the Lady Altas.
"I resigned to assume a bigger role, which is to handle not only the women's volleyball team, but Perpetual Help's volleyball program as a whole," Cariño confirmed.
He will succeed Sammy Acaylar, who was appointed as Perpetual Help's athletic director a year ago.
Acaylar, however, will remain as head coach of the Perpetual Help men's volleyball team.
