Blatche finally arrives in Manila to join Gilas
MANILA, Philippines – Naturalized center Andray Blatche finally arrived in Manila on Saturday evening, following a weeklong delay.
Gilas Pilipinas team manager Butch Antonio posted a picture on Saturday evening welcoming Blatche to the Philippines.
Blatche's homecoming was delayed as he played in the final two CBA regular season games of the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
With him in town, the Philippines' campaign in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers gets a massive boost. Gilas Pilipinas plays Japan on November 24, then hosts Chinese-Taipei on November 27.
