Unbeaten NU, Adamson seek first blood in PVL semis
MANILA, Philippines – Unbeaten top seeds National University (NU) and Adamson University try to move closer to a projected title clash when they take on different foes in the Final 4 of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Collegiate Conference on Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
The Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Falcons swept their respective groups in the single-round eliminations, and are hoping to sustain their form in the semifinals.
NU is set to face off against reigning NCAA champion Arellano University at 4 p.m., while Adamson will take on Far Eastern University (FEU) at 6:30 p.m. in a pair of best-of-three series.
Ateneo de Manila University, meanwhile, tries to keep its winning streak going in the men's division as it clashes with University of Santo Tomas (UST) at 8 a.m., while FEU and NU face off in the other semifinals pairing at 10 a.m.
The Blue Eagles ripped the Growling Tigers in straight sets in their elimination round meeting, while the second-seeded Tamaraws needed five sets to repulse the Bulldogs in their own match-up.
