San Beda trounces EAC, kills Generals' playoff hopes
San Beda College has not lost in more than a month in the NCAA 93 men’s basketball tournament.
And yet, the defending champions have not had a resounding rout under their belt.
That was until Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre when the Red Lions manhandled listless Emilio Aguinaldo College for an 88-51 win.
The 37-point winning margin was the biggest for San Beda. “’Di man lang kami umabot ng 20 iyong lamang the whole season so this will be a good start, but again, I will just preach consistency,” head coach Boyet Fernandez said following their 14th win in a row coming off a 1-1 start to the season.
And through all of it, they utilized total team effort, winding up with a total of 26 assists.
