NU’s Alejandro is ‘proudest teammate’ despite another loss
MANILA, Philippines – When National University lost to University of the East last Saturday, team captain J-Jay Alejandro was at a loss for words, eventually saying that the Bulldogs failed to put up a fight against the Red Warriors in the huge 90-77 setback.
On Wednesday, Alejandro was in a completely different mood, even as the result of the Bulldogs' game was the same: they lost to the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 85-72, to drop to 3-6 in UAAP Season 80.

"I'm the proudest teammate ngayon, na nakita ko lumaban ang mga teammate ko," he expressed.
Alejandro could be forgiven if he is getting a bit frustrated with his team. The fifth-year guard has done most of the heavy lifting for the Bulldogs in Season 80, something that is clear from his averages. After originally being known as a scorer in his early years in NU, Alejandro has turned himself into an all-around force and is averaging 18.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
