Meralco prepares to play out finals without injured Ranidel

Ranidel de Ocampo will have to watch the rest of the PBA season on the sidelines while Meralco dukes it out with Barangay Ginebra in the Governors' Cup finals.

According to Spin.ph, an MRI conducted on the veteran PBA star indicated a large tear in his left calf muscle. 

"Baka hindi na," de Ocampo said. "Punit e. Malaki din."

He hurt his leg in the first quarter of Game 3 just as he was trying to drive past Ginebra import Justine Brownlee.

He was no longer fielded back by coach Norman Black after that.
