For 2nd straight week, Meralco's Dillinger is PBA's best
MANILA, Philippines – Meralco's Jared Dillinger earned his second straight PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award after another outstanding effort that helped the Bolts return to the Governors' Cup Finals.
The left-handed Dillinger averaged 14 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists during Meralco’s last two games to complete the Bolts’ three-game sweep of the Star Hotshots in the semifinals.
The 33-year-old Dillinger was also red-hot from the three-point arc, knocking down a combined eight three-pointers in their last two games against Star.
The "Daredevil" was all business last Tuesday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, going 6-of-8 from beyond the arc for 18 points as Meralco crushed Star, 98-74, in Game 2.
He then capped the Bolts' sweep by contributing 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists in their 91-88 overtime win.
