Rain Or Shine banked on the solid play of its bench, as the Elasto Painters crushed Alaska 112-82 in the PBA Governors' Cup at Ynares Center in Antipolo on Wednesday.
Led by 12 points each from Jericho Cruz and Beau Belga, Rain Or Shine's relievers outscored their Alaska counterparts 71-32 to help coach Caloy Garcia's crew raise its record to 6-4.
That means the Elasto Painters are still in play to grab a slot in the top 4 and a twice-to-beat advantage.
Rain Or Shine broke the game wide open in the second quarter, outscoring Alaska 34-18 en route to the easy win.
Garcia had the luxury of playing all 16 players and all but one of them scored.
J'Nathan Bullock tallied a team-high 14 points for Rain Or Shine.
