Marcelino twins propel Lyceum past EAC for win No. 14

MANILA, Philippines – Lyceum of the Philippines University continues to roll in the NCAA Season 93 men's basketball tournament, turning back Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC), 86-74, on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The win hiked Lyceum's record to 14-0, putting them just four games away from a sweep of the elimination round and an outright Finals berth. As it stands, the Pirates are already assured of a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final 4.

The Marcelino twins, Jaycee and Jayvee, were once again superb for Lyceum, as they accounted for the Pirates' final 10 points of the ball game. CJ Perez contributed an all-around effort of 13 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while skipper MJ Ayaay led the Pirates with 15 points.

Nevertheless, Lyceum coach Topex Robinson still saw plenty of holes to fix in their team.

"There are a lot of flaws that we have to work on," said Robinson. "We have to keep on improving."
