Jerwin Ancajas looks to defend title again before year ends
Jerwin Ancajas’ next world-title defense remains on course even as Manny Pacquiao’s supposed rematch with Jeff Horn set for later this year has been scuttled.
Joven Jimenez, Ancajas’ manager-coach, said his ward was supposed to fight in the undercard of Pacquiao-Horn Part 2.
But since the bout isn’t going to happen as earlier planned, Jimenez and his group will have to wait for another fight date from MP Promotions, the Pacquiao-owned company that handles Ancajas’ promotional rights.
“Ngayon nag-aantay muna kami kung ano ang plano nina sir Manny,” Jimenez told ABS-CBN News.
Jimenez, however, said they were assured that Ancajas will make his third title defense late this year.
