Alaska outlasts undermanned GlobalPort for back-to-back wins
LaDontae Henton scored 36 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, and Calvin Abueva chipped in 12 points all scored in the 4th quarter, as Alaska defeated GlobalPort 101-88 in the PBA Governors' Cup at Mall of Asia Arena on Friday.
The game was tied at 67-all after 3 quarters, but the Aces exploded in the 4th going to town with 34 points.
On defense, they limited GlobalPort to one field goal in the first 6:30 of the 4th before pulling away.
JV Casio added 11 points and 5 assists for Alaska, which improved to 2-6 after dropping its first 6 games.
Murphey Holloway topped GlobalPort with 25 points, but he scored only 8 in the second half.
