Star eyes 4-0 start against sputtering Phoenix
After a 2-week layoff, Star will stake its 3-0 slate against a dangerous Phoenix squad, when the PBA Governors’ Cup resumes at Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
Game time is at 7 p.m., after the 4:15 p.m. tussle between winless Alaska and Blackwater.
The last time the Hotshots played was on August 4 when they beat San Miguel, 104-98.
Phoenix, on the other hand, has lost 4 games in a row after opening the conference with 2 straight victories.
But Star coach Chito Victolero refuses to underestimate the Fuel Masters, who lost a slim 107-104 verdict against Meralco in their most recent outing.
“Their last game, they played very well but the breaks went to Meralco,” Victolero said in a story posted on the PBA website.
