Star eclipses Phoenix to stay atop Governors' Cup standings
Star used an overpowering second half to bury Phoenix, 100-81, in the PBA Governors' Cup at Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
Paul Lee led the way for the Hotshots en route to their 4th straight win, scoring 18 points on 4-of-8 field-goal shooting to go with 3 steals.
Import Malcolm Hill added 18 points and 8 boards for Star, which maintain its hold of first place.
The Hotshots' huge defensive effort limited the Fuel Masters to just 17 points in the fourth quarter, offsetting Brandon Brown's 33-point, 23-rebound effort for Phoenix.
