Rain or Shine finally takes down Star Hotshots
MANILA -- (UPDATED) For the first time since the blockbuster Paul Lee for James Yap trade, Rain or Shine finally got one over Star.
The Elasto Painters continued their recent surge in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup, snapping the Hotshots' winning streak, 92-88, Sunday at the Big Dome.
Rain or Shine improved to 4-2 after a third straight victory, while Star went down to 4-1.
"Finally we were able to beat Star this season. Akala ko hindi na kami mananalo dyan sa Star," head coach Caloy Garcia said.
"It's all defense, it started in the first half. The energy was there, the effort was there," he added.
