Myla Pablo claims Open Conference MVP plum

Myla Pablo of Pocari Sweat outclassed other top performers in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Open Conference to walk away with the Most Valuable Player award Saturday.

The former National University standout topped the scoring category by a hairline after accumulating 143 points to edge University of the Philippines Diana Carlos' 142.

Pablo landed at second spot in attack percentage with a 39.75% success rate behind Pau Soriano of Creamline, who registered 41.84%.

The Lady Warrior finished the elimination round at no. 9 in kill blocks (0.42 per set) as she led Pocari Sweat to a spot in the semifinals and eventually tow the reigning Reinforced Conference champion squad back in the Finals against a familiar foe in BaliPure.

Pablo, the import-laden conference’s Finals MVP, also took home the 1st Best Outside Spiker citation.
