LA Tenorio, Terrence Romeo bury the hatchet

MANILA, Philippines – Nearly two months after an intense scuffle that led to ejections and fines, GlobalPort's Terrence Romeo and Ginebra's LA Tenorio have worked things out.

Tenorio and Romeo were involved in a surprising fracas during their quarterfinals showdown in the PBA Commissioner's Cup last June 6, which caused the GlobalPort guard to be thrown out of the game amid jeers from the Ginebra crowd.

Tenorio was admittedly surprised by what happened, although he later said that Romeo might have just been frustrated by what happened in the game. Ginebra won the contest, 96-85, to oust the Batang Pier in the playoffs.

Last Sunday marked GlobalPort and Ginebra's first meeting since that eventful game, and it was a complete contrast. Romeo and Tenorio barely guarded each other, and the Gin Kings cruised to a 124-106 victory with Tenorio scoring 29 points.

"Magkausap naman kami kanina before the game," Tenorio later said of Romeo. "Wala naman 'yun, that's part of the game."

"Sabi niya, na-frustrate lang siya," he added. "Sa akin naman, wala namang kaso 'yun."
