Import Walker boosts confidence of Blackwater teammates

MANILA, Philippines – Having an import of Henry Walker's quality has made the Blackwater Elite a much more confident team halfway into their campaign in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup.

This, according to guard Mike DiGregorio, who conspired with Walker to lead Blackwater to its first victory in the season-ending conference on Sunday against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

DiGregorio fired a career-high 28 points, while Walker announced his PBA return with a 32-point, 15-rebound, five-assist effort in their 92-86 victory. It was only the Elite's first win after opening the conference with three straight losses.

"With Henry here, he brings a different energy," DiGregorio told reporters after the game. "He brings confidence. He's vocal. If you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing, he's going to let you know about it."

"That's good, because we need to hold people accountable. Hopefully, we can build on this win," he added.

Blackwater coach Leo Isaac himself said that Walker served as "the inspiration for everybody to come out as winners" against Phoenix, especially after their past three games did not go their way.
